Scott
and Renee Darby are a husband and wife team who are
dedicated to and passionate about the racing industry.
After many years of experience in all facets of the
racing industry, Scott and Renee bring a vast understanding
and knowledge of what it takes to be successful on the
race track.
Through Darby Racing P/L they will provide 'The Ultimate
Racing Experience', whether you are a first time owner
or have had previous experience in owning a racehorse.
They provide the highest level of integrity
when it comes to your investment, competence and experience
in the selection of racehorses and
provision of the highest level of service.

Scott
Darby,
the
General Manager of Darby Racing P/L,
brings over 16 years experience in the thoroughbred
industry. His passion for horses began at an early age,
riding on weekends at a friend's property in the Moss
Vale area in NSW. As a teenager, Scott was introduced
to horse racing by a school friend, attending a mid-week
Canterbury race meeting and was immediately enthralled.
From this time onwards, Scott's interest in the racing
industry grew, beginning his first job in the thoroughbred
industry working for Clarry Conners as a stable hand.
Over
the following years, Scott turned his hand to breeding,
breaking and pre-training and ownership of race horses.
During this time, he gained a vast knowledge and understanding
of the racing industry. He has also spent many years
studying thoroughbred pedigrees, even formulating his
own pedigree ratings system.

In
January 2006, Scott helped form one of Australia's leading
syndication companies, being appointed to the role of
General Manager.
During this time, his responsibilities included the selection
of horses, customer service and communication with owners
on the progress of their horse as well as responsibility
for the general day to day running of that company.
In October 2007, Scott and Renee decided to venture out
on their own forming Darby Racing P/L. |
Renee
Darby,
the Director of Darby Racing P/L, learnt
to ride horses at a young age developing her love for
these animals. Renee later became involved in owning a
number of thoroughbreds herself. She has enjoyed many
successes on the track, in particular, with a lovely chestnut
gelding named 'Flaming'. This horse has been trained by
Gai Waterhouse and syndicated by Denise Martin.
Renee
is a qualified Primary School teacher, specializing in
gifted and talented education. She has been teaching for
seven years and has well developed management and organizational
skills. With this background and experience, she is able
to support her husband Scott in the day to day running
of Darby Racing P/L.
As
a team, Scott and Renee will provide 'The
Ultimate Racing Experience'. They will strive
for excellence in race horse syndication and will help
subscribers achieve successful race horse ownership.
Leisa
Johns
is Darby Racing’s Publicity Officer. Leisa is not
only a part time writer and radio presenter, but also
a sport fanatic and race horse owner. Leisa became involved
in racing through a family connection and has loved it
ever since, keenly observing race guides, pedigrees, and
all the little idiosyncrasies of the racing game.
Leisa
is a qualified Exercise Physiologist and Physiotherapist
and currently works in one of Sydney’s major hospitals.
